Whether behind the camera or in front of it Karol’s natural talent and ability to work with people of all ages and skin tones is clearly apparent.  She specializes in makeup for film and television and believes a great look is a combination of the client’s vision of herself and an artist’s skill to adapt it to highlight her unique facial features.  And it should never take hours on end and a multitude of products to achieve.  She calls her signature look “natural glam”—clean and polished with a glamorous twist.  “You should always have options, as well as a go-to look you can pull off effortlessly without even having to think about it. “ Sometimes flirty lashes or a strong lip are all you really need “ she says. ​

A self-taught artist, Karol’s love for all things beauty began at a young age when she would apply makeup on her teen-aged cousins, friends, and family members for parties and special events.  She went on to work with all of the major retailers and multiple cosmetic brands as a freelance artist.  It was only after several years as an executive in the cosmetics industry that she realized her true passion was helping others bring their inner beauty outward and IC Artistry was born.  

A graduate of the University of Southern California with a degree in communications, Karol appears regularly on camera offering makeup and beauty tips to television viewers.  She’s been a featured artist and beauty stylist with Nordstrom in both the San Diego and Los Angeles areas.  She hosts workshops and seminars on makeup and beauty, serves as beauty editor for two digital publications, and her tips have appeared in two books.  She was tapped by Valana Minerals, an all natural and vegan cosmetic company, to collaborate and developed the Thick Pencil, a multi-use lip pencil with rich and creamy color inspired by the true diversity of all skin tones. Karol is based in Southern California and available to travel.
