“Lipstick is like a pair of shoes.
You should never own just one!”
-Karol Young Moses

about me.
Karol is a makeup artist and beauty expert who specializes in makeup for film, television, and commercials. Her signature “natural glam” look, her ability to work with all ages and skin tones, and her pleasant and professional demeanor help keep her in high demand.
A self-taught artist, Karol’s love for all things beauty began at a young age when she would apply makeup on her older cousins, friends, and family members for parties and special events. While earning her degree in communications from the University of Southern California, Karol began her journey in retail beauty. She started out behind the counter and later became a department manager, beauty brand executive and trainer, and eventually a beauty stylist with Nordstrom. Later, as a freelance artist, working with brands like Charlotte Tilbury, MAC, and Bobbi Brown, she had the opportunity to do makeup on a television show, and she never looked back.
Karol is currently the makeup department head for General Hospital on ABC Daytime. She has worked as a department head and key artist on films like The Devil You Know, The List, Black Girl Missing, Adult Best Friends, Swallowtail and Dragonfly, Dreams in Nightmares, and True to the Game. Her television credits include I Think You Should Leave, Angel, Our Kind of People, and America's Funniest Videos. In addition to working on numerous commercials for companies like Amazon, AAA, and Kaiser Permanente. Karol has partnered with beauty brands to produce content online, and also appears on camera providing makeup and beauty tips to television viewers and online shoppers.
